FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ! If you have any questions about the game, you’re in the right place. We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to join our Discord for a chat!

The game contains nudity & consensual sex scenes. The all sex scenes are animated & uncensored.

Space Rescue is a typical ‘point & click’ adventure; where you collect items to complete quests, in order to progress the game. This involves a bit of puzzle-solving. But compared to the classics, Space Rescue is fairly easy. If you pay attention to the dialogue and context of the story, you should have little trouble solving puzzles & quests.

Additionally, the game contains several mini-games. These might take a few tries to master, but can be skipped as well.

There is! If you do get stuck in the game, or if you are wondering if you’ve seen all there is, then please have a look at the Walkthrough. The Walkthrough will usually be updated within the next 2 weeks after a game-update. The latest version is 12.0.

That would be me. Hey, I’m Robin 🙂

I started my creative career working for a large game studio & later on I became a freelance artist, while developing my own projects as well (mainly comics & tabletop games). Space Rescue is the first video-game I made myself & my first NSFW project.

I first started working on Space Rescue around 2019, after I learned to use the ‘Ren’py’ game-engine. Back then it was just really a hobby project. But after getting a lot of positive feedback on the demo, I decided to create a Patreon page for the game. And thanks to the generous support of many Patrons, I was eventually able to stop working as a freelancer & spend all my time on Space Rescue.

And as of February 2021, the game is also available on Steam!

Ghee! That’s really hard to say at this moment. I have clear plans for the future, but the actual production speed is strongly related to the team-size. And so far, I’ve been developing the game pretty much by myself 🙂 But I hope to be able to expand the team soon!

However, content-wise I aim to include at around 10 story-lines in the game. And at this time, about 1/3rd of that is done.

PAtreon and Steam

Well, I have a Patreon page, where I explain in much detail how the game is made. Please visit the Patreon page for more information.

The game itself is 100% the same on both platforms; and both platforms have the latest, most up to date version, including every available update.

However, the platforms themselves have a different focus.

Steam is simply a store where you buy games. You’ll get the latest version of Space Rescue, an all future updates.

Patreon however, is all about following the live development of the game. Here you get acces to a blog archive of 100+ posts, showing you in great detail how the game’s art was made & how the game was designed. Additionally you get weekly updates on new content, get a say in the development direction & get acces to the latest version of the game.

Without a Patreon Page, this game could not have existed. It’s thanks to the generousity of my many Patrons, that I gained a stable income & the chance to work full-time on Space Rescue. Any additional support will allow me to expand my 1-man team & speed up the creation process.

So I am eternally thankful for this support! It changed my life & let me do my dreamjob. Thank you so much everyone!

updates

So far I managed to release a new version of the game, roughly every 3 months.

The game will be first released on Patreon (mainly to catch the worst bugs) -before releasing it (to a bigger audience) on Steam.

Currently that’s the time it takes to make a fun addition for the game. In this time, I imagine the story & gameplay, write the dialogues, create the art and animations, and put everything together in code. While also testing the game & processing everyones feedback.

In these three months I can roughly add ‘half of a complete story’ to the game.

Yes! But translations & voice-acting will only be added to the game when it’s finished.
That way we don’t have to redo the translations & voice-lines every time a dialog changes.

helping out

Well thanks, I appreciate the help! The game has currently +25.000 lines of text, so occasionally I overlook a spelling mistake 🙂 You can share your findings on Discord, where there is special channel for dialog corrections. I’ll review the channel before every update & then I’ll take along all the suggested corrections.

Of course!
And those actually help me to improve the game as well, so it’s much appreciated!

  • I’d love to work with a skilled 2D-animator, who could refine the current XXX-scenes in game & would be able to create new scenes based of my illustrations.
  • I’m also looking for a skilled musician who can create a coherent soundscape (music & sound-effects) for the game, that’s in line with the current music in game.
  • Once the game is done, I’ll also be looking for translators & voice actors. If you’re interested in helping out there, you can always let me know.

The other production-task (like art, writing & gameplay) are either done by myself, or are already covered at the moment.
